Who's Who in the Unit
Sgt. Dann Nivens (Silver Lake Police Department)Administrative Commander
Sgt. Nivens is our Adminstrative Commander and handles organization and training at monthly meetings. Nivens also is tasked with the responsibilty of being a liason to other agencies both public and private.
Nivens is one of the "founding fathers" of our Unit and it is his driving force that has brought us from "a good idea" to a cutting edge response unit. Nivens also serves with one of our response teams and on the Unit Steering Committee.
Sgt. Nivens is a veteran officer with the Silver Lake Police Department.
Ofc. Jonathan Bastock (Stow Police Department)Operations Commander
Ofc. Jonathan Bastock is our Operations Commander who is tasked with the responsibility of developing our policies and protocols, making sure that response teams are properly staffed and that final reports are properly reviewed and submitted in a timely manner to the requesting agencies.
Ofc. Bastock is a Crash Reconstructionist and also maintains the Unit's website and serves on the Unit Steering Committee. He is a veteran officer with the Stow Police Department.
Sgt. Jay Nagy (Norton Police Department)Assistant Administrator
Sgt. Nagy is our Assistant Administrator and helps develop our policies and protocols as well as helping the Administrative Commander with his duties and acts as a liason to public and private agencies.
A veteran officer with the Norton Police Department, Nagy also serves with one of our response teams and on the Unit Steering Committee.
Ofc. Brian Battaglia (Hudson Police Department)Team Leader - Response Team #1
Ofc. Battaglia, is a veteran officer with the Hudson Police Department, a skilled Crash Investigator and the one of three Team Leaders one of three Team Leaders who are tasked with coordinating the investigations "on-scene" when Unit response is requested.
Response teams are comprised of up to ten investigators, ranging from Basic Investigators through Technical Crash Investigators and at least one Crash Reconstructionist
Ofc. Robert Gilbert (Richfield Police Department)Team Leader - Response Team #2
Officer Robert Gilbert is the second of three Team Leaders who are tasked with coordinating the investigations "on-scene" when Unit response is requested.
Gilbert is a highly skilled and experienced Crash Reconstructionist and is a veteran officer and member of the Richfield Police Department.
Ofc. Kiara McNulty (Hudson Police Department)Team Leader - Response Team #3
Ofc. McNulty, is a veteran officer with the Hudson Police Department, a skilled Crash Investigator and the third of our Team Leaders who coordinate the investigations "on-scene" when Unit response is requested.
